Welcome to iti-h, your go-to Indian agricultural commodity price intelligence platform. Whether you are a farmer, trader, researcher, or just someone interested in agricultural markets, navigating through vast amounts of data can be overwhelming.
This guide will walk you through the different pages on the iti-h platform, explaining how to use them and what information you can extract from each chart and table.
1. The Home Page: Your Daily Market Pulse
When you first visit iti-h, you land on the Home page. This page is designed to give you a quick, bird's-eye view of the current agricultural market landscape in India.
What you will find here:
- Live Stats: Quick numbers showing the total markets covered, commodities tracked, and the latest data updates.
- Market Pulse (Gainers & Losers): A quick snapshot of the top 5 commodities with the highest price jumps (Gainers) and the steepest drops (Losers). This helps you immediately spot market volatility.
- Latest Prices: A brief list of the most recent price updates from various mandis across the country.
2. Mandi Dashboard (/mandi)
The Mandi Dashboard is the core exploratory tool of the platform. If you want to find specific data, this is where you start.
The Cascading Filter Bar
At the top of the dashboard, you will find the Filter Bar. It works in a cascading manner:
- State: Select a state first.
- District: Once a state is chosen, the district dropdown populates with relevant districts.
- Market: After picking a district, you can select a specific Mandi (market).
- Commodity: Finally, you can filter by a specific crop or commodity.
Note: Changing a parent filter (like State) will automatically reset the child filters (like District and Market) to ensure your search is always valid.
The Price Table
Below the filters, the data is presented in a Paginated Price Table.
- Information provided: For every entry, you can see the State, District, Market, Commodity, Variety, Grade, Arrival Date, Min Price, Max Price, and Modal Price.
- How to use it: You can sort and paginate through thousands of records to find exactly what you need.
3. Mandi Detail Page
When you click on a specific market (e.g., Azadpur Mandi), you are taken to its dedicated detail page.
What you will find here:
- Market Summary: A quick overview of the market's activity, including the top commodities traded there today.
- Price Trends (Charts): You will find Bar Charts and Line Charts here.
- Line Charts: These show the price trend of key commodities over a period. Use this to understand if a commodity's price is generally trending up or down.
- Bar Charts: These compare the current prices of different commodities within that specific mandi.
4. Commodity Detail Page
If you are interested in a specific crop, say "Wheat" or "Onion," clicking on the commodity will take you to its dedicated page.
What you will find here:
- National Average: The current national modal price for the commodity.
- State-wise Comparison: A table or chart comparing the price of this commodity across different states.
- Grade & Variety Breakdown: Understand how different qualities (grades) and types (varieties) of the same commodity are priced differently.
Understanding the Terminology
To get the most out of iti-h, it helps to understand the key price terms used across our tables and charts:
- Min Price: The lowest price at which the commodity was sold in the market on that day.
- Max Price: The highest price fetched by the commodity.
- Modal Price: The most commonly occurring price or the average price at which the majority of the commodity was traded. This is usually the most reliable indicator of the "going rate."
By using the filters, tables, and charts provided on these pages, you can easily turn raw agricultural data into actionable market intelligence. Happy exploring!
